We all need someone to listen and lean on in life.  A student's need for this is even greater as they navigate adolescence.  At R1SE, we provide students with that emotional and social support.  Sometimes we have a bad day, have a problem, or could simply use a friend.  Our students know that we are there for them daily and they can even "book an appointment" with a big brother/sister when they need someone to lean on.  When students feel that they are not alone and they have a support system, they are more likely to soar. 

 

In addition to the support we provide, our Co-Pilot curriculum also provides a great deal of social education. When students are in need, we teach them how to make friends and keep friends with communication skills that will last a lifetime. Not only that, we have the facility for students to put these new practices into play; better preparing them for friendships outside of R1SE.
